Cut Your Own Tree

Our take

Kaleidoscope Farms has posted two paid early tree tagging days for 2026, one on a Saturday in October and one on a Sunday in November, with tickets sold through links on its site. Trees are priced individually by tree type and size. The farm grows two firs, Canaan and Concolor, three spruces, Black Hills, Blue and Norway, and two pines, White and Scotch. Getting out to the fields is part of the visit: there are tractor and horse-pulled shuttles, open hiking trails around the farm, a gift shop with an outdoor pay station option, outdoor restroom facilities, and kettle corn on the weekends. Every tree is shaken, baled and tied on your vehicle, and the farm also offers tree delivery. If a particular tree matters to you, the tagging days are the way to pick it out ahead of time; otherwise check the site for the main season dates.

Written by us from the farm's own words quoted below. It adds nothing they don't say.
